Outdoor Church Service
Church had an outdoors service, it was very nice. Our kids (okay the adults too) had fun playing in the sand afterwards. At some point people were being buried (but everyone made it out alive).

Maria and Mikel spent the day with us, it was so much fun. Jack thinks Maria is great and Maria is pretty fond of Kole and Kole is nice to them both... meanwhile Mike and I were loving lil' Mikel (he is soooo cute). It was good times!
Anyway, Jack saw that Maria and Kole were sitting together so he had to join in the fun. He actually jumped on Kole's shoulders, Kole just kept on watching the movie and Maria could have cared less. Too funny.
I just love them in their lil' t-ball unforms, they look so cute!

My Buddy and Me
Kole has this friend that was in his class, they didn't always get along. Today, this friend gave Kole the cold shoulder and walked out with a different buddy (the boys at Kole's school always refer to each other as buddy). Kole turned around and grabbed this little guy and said- hey, you're going to be my buddy okay? The guy shrugged and they walked off together. Then they nearly walked onto the wrong bus, Kole was leading the boy astray. He just wasn't paying attention but the teacher didn't see it that way. Oops.
Kole's Field Trip
Kole gets attention from the girls. Of course he is rather indifferent but when they really try to get his attention… he’ll play along. These two were competing, Kole was a little embarrassed.

I'm Singing in the Rain
So we were at the Birthday Party and the boys were having such a good time… after awhile the kids started playing in the water. It was really hot so you couldn’t blame them and since we didn’t anticipate the water fun, we weren’t really prepared.
Is it wrong to post pictures of your son playing in the water with a pink umbrella in his superman underwear- not when he’s 4 years old. I know one day he’ll die of embarrassment but for now, it’s too funny.

My Maddy's Bday Present
Pardon me; it has been over a month since my last posting... I guess I've been slackin' but tonight, tonight I have something worth posting- so how do you like?
I'm really into giving creative gifts or in the very least thoughtful ones. I love my girlie girl Maddy so I wanted to do something special. The problem, she has lots of cute girlie stuff already so I wasn't really sure what I'd do. Then it hit me; I'd decorate a hatbox for her and make it "Maddy". But I couldn't find a hatbox. Since I had found such great stuff for decorating, I couldn't give up so I bought a corkboard and had at it. I LOVE the outcome. I hope she does too.
It wasn't easy though, the pictures I had posted previously and then submitted to Wal-Mart to print turned out awful. Part of it was because I use to resize them, now I know better. The other part I think has to do with the upload- perhaps it makes it pixilated? Anyway, I had some more pictures saved on a CD in my car so on the way home from Wal-Mart I stopped by CVS. I only had to go through the system 3 times to finally get it right but I don't care- like I said I love the way this turned out.
You never really know if these things will turn out and while I love to mess around with this stuff, I hate to go through the effort, time and expense when it doesn't work out. I made a memory board for my nephew a few years ago that just didn't have that ump that I wanted and come to find out- it fell apart. Sadly I think it was trashed. It was my fault, my plan was too grand, I worked really hard on it- probably like 6 or 7 hours (maybe more) but that wasn't enough to make a lasting gift. Now I'm learning to keep in mind time, money and talent (or my lack there-of). Speaking of, these homemade gifts aren't cheap so please don't think that's why I do them. A lot of times I probably spend more than I need to but it costs more than you think- still I hope that what it means ALOT to the person (in this case Maddy).
Goin' to bed happy, my house is a mess and laundry needs to get done but I still have a smile on my face because it is so worth it!
Happy Birthday Maddy Girl!
